We sometimes have so much to do with little time and a minimal crew.
So, we invite you to join our volunteer team to assist our staff when the workload is extreme.
We can use your help in many ways like assisting with housekeeping on “turnover” days. Perhaps you can become a gift shop guru. Regardless of which, WE NEED YOU!
- Housekeeping Angel: When the same-day back-to-back retreats occur, the housekeepers have little time to prepare the guest rooms. When this occurs {mostly on Sundays and Fridays), assistance with making beds, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and removing trash is greatly appreciated.
- Hospitality: Are you friendly and enjoy meeting new people? Perhaps this is a good fit. Welcome and care for our guests outside of business hours. Volunteer shifts can take a few hours and/or stay the full weekend (with overnight stay and meals) or just weekday evenings. Training is required.
- Gift Shop: Are you a tech guru, friendly, and available on an occasional weekend to serve in the gift shop? A vetting process first takes place for anyone interested. Training is required.
- Check-in Helper: assist staff with checking-in weekend retreatants (Fridays 4:30-6:30) Front Desk Angel: Answer phones and doors and other minor office duties as needed.
- Handyperson: On occasion, we need volunteer help with general handyperson services such as painting, basic repairs, sanding/staining, etc.
- Our Biggest Need: Yardwork/Gardener: Come help tend to our beautiful gardens and yard on scheduled yard work days or an ongoing basis. You, your family, K of C Council, Men’s, or Women’s Club can even adopt a garden to care for throughout the year.
- Miscellaneous: Throughout the year, we have a variety of volunteer opportunities not listed above such as: transporting Passionist guests to and from the airport to the retreat center, and stuffing envelopes.
