Ash Wednesday begins not with our search for God, but with God’s loving search for us. He continually reaches out, inviting us into a deeper reconciliation with Himself, with ourselves, with our families, with the Church, and with all whom He places in our lives. Our Lenten journey is not about earning God’s love, but about responding with open hearts to the One whose love for us has always come first.
