Dear Friends of Christ the King Retreat Center,

As we approach Giving Tuesday on December 2, I find myself
reflecting on the many people who come through our doors seekin
peace, renewal, and the gentle touch of God. For so many, this
retreat center is a place where hearts are healed, burdens are lifted,
and hope is restored.

Because we cherish every person who visits us, their safety and
well-being remain one of our greatest responsibilities. This
year, we are inviting you to partner with us in a very special and
practical need—the purchase of two AED Defibrillators: one
for the Holy Cross Building and one for the Chapel Building.

These life-saving units cost about $2,300 each, a total of $4,600, and we want to ensure we
purchase high-quality devices that are reliable and easy to use.

Having AEDs available onsite will offer real peace of mind—especially for retreatants who may
have health concerns or loved ones who worry about them when they are away.

#GivingTuesday marks the beginning of the holiday giving season, inspiring people to give back
in impactful ways to the charities and causes they believe in.

We invite you to join us on this global day of generosity by making a gift to Christ the King on
Tuesday, December 2, 2025. If you are able, I humbly ask you to help us make this hope a
reality. No gift is too small, and every act of generosity brings us closer to providing this
essential safeguard for our community.

You can donate through our website (link to be shared on Tuesday, Dec 2.) or you can phone in
your donation on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 8:30am to 5:00pm, by contacting our
Development Office at 916-725-4720, ext. 302.

Thank you, from the heart, for your kindness and continued support. Let us hold one another in
prayer, trusting that with the Lord’s blessing, we may continue to cherish the gift of life and celebrate
good health for many years to come.

With gratitude and hope,

Fr Joe Moons, C.P.
