Christ the King Passionist Retreat Center offers a variety of meaningful volunteer opportunities, including serving as an Evening or Weekend Retreat Host/Hostess, providing General Event Support, or assisting with Grounds and Maintenance projects. Each role helps create a welcoming, peaceful environment for retreat guests while supporting the center’s mission.
- Housekeeping: When back-to-back retreats take place on the same day, our housekeeping team has limited time to prepare the guest rooms. During these times (most often on Sundays and Fridays), assistance with making beds, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and removing trash is greatly appreciated.
- Evening and or Weekend Hosts: Are you friendly and enjoy meeting new people? Perhaps this is a good fit. Welcome and care for our guests outside of business hours. Volunteer shifts range from a few hours to an entire weekend (including overnight stays and meals), or weekday evenings. Training is provided.
- Handyperson: On occasion, we need volunteer help with general handyperson services such as painting, basic repairs, sanding/staining, etc.
- Yardwork/Gardener: Do you enjoy working outdoors and gardening? Come be part of caring for our grounds and helping to keep them welcoming and beautiful for all who visit. Join us on scheduled workdays or volunteer on an ongoing basis—your helping hands make a meaningful difference! You might consider adopting a garden—like the St. Paul of the Cross Memorial Garden—and caring for it throughout the year.
- Event Support: Christ the King hosts two fundraising events each year—Summer Fiesta in June and the Fall Gala in October. There are many ways to get involved! You can join one or both of the planning committees, help with event setup, or volunteer during the event. We’d love for you to be part of making these special events a success.
