Matthew 25: 31-46
No serious study of St. Matthew’s Gospel can possibly ignore Matthew 25: 31-46. This powerful parable of Jesus gives us the foundation of what it means to be an ethical disciple in service to the World. It also spells out the implications of being a disciple. Our study will review the Parable in itself and in relationship to the entirety of the Gospel. It would be well for us to remember these verses form the basis of the Works of Mercy by which faithful disciples, authentic human beings, and people of good will reflect the Divine image in all the affairs of their lives.
