Our Retreat Day will explore the spirituality behind the two great Encyclicals on “The Care of Our Common Home,” published by Pope Francis.  The issues of ecological survival are ethical, moral, and spiritual.  We will summarize the core teaching in the 2015 Encyclical, Laudato Si.  In particular, we will focus on chapter two’s beautiful exploration of how Jesus experienced the World of Nature.  It will be our privilege and blessing to explore the highlights of the new Encyclical (October 4, 2023) as we commit ourselves anew to be faithful disciples of Jesus as we loving care for God’s first gift to us, our Common Home.
