“Return to Me with All Your Heart”
“Even now, says the Lord, return to me with your whole heart, with fasting, weeping, and mourning.” — Joel 2:12
“No one puts new wine into old wineskins…
New wine is stored in new wineskins so that both are preserved.” —Matthew 9:17
Lent begins with grace, not with guilt—a loving invitation from God: “Return to Me with all your heart” (Joel 2:12).
It is a season to come home, not in shame, but in hope and being welcomed. God longs to renew His relationship
with us and with one another, to pour the new wine of mercy into hearts made ready—like new wineskins (Matthew 9:17).
Repentance isn’t just about turning from sin; it’s about turning toward love—restoring our relationship with God, ourselves,
and with one another. This Lent, let go of what no longer gives life, and open ourselves to the joy and healing that only God can give.
