SERENITY IN THE TIME OF UNCERTAINTY

Almost everywhere we look, we are tempted to think and believe there is nothing but bad news.  Sobriety does not change the weather or the forces of Nature.  What changes is our ability and willingness to be people who take care of ourselves so other people might be helped, cared for, and respected.  For too long, we may have thought our limitations were failures.  We may have been so self-centered we forgot to be self-giving.  Our Day of Spirituality will revisit the Serenity Prayer.    

The simple and beautiful words of this Prayer have moved the minds, hearts, and souls of countless people.  Let us pause in the midst of the upset and uncertainty to savor anew the deep teachings and wisdom of the powerful words, “O God, grant me the serenity.”

Thomas P. Bonacci, C.P. will share his reflections as we come together to share our wisdom, reflections, and experiences on this Day of Spirituality for People in Recovery.
