ONLINE Bereavement Day of Reflection: On Caring for One Another in Times of Trouble
John 19: 25-27 serves as the basis for our reflections during our time together. We have, in these verses, a “window” into the heart of Jesus who ensures his mother and Beloved Disciple are cared for in the time after his passing over to God. This scene is as beautiful and touching as it is painful and tender. Perhaps we can identify with the feelings and emotions portrayed and implied in this most powerful text as we strive to cope with our own grief, loss, and sorrow.
